Our Doctors

Our friendly doctors at Bardon Rainworth Medical Centre. Our General Practitioners have a diverse range of experience, with a variety of special medical interests.

Our reception staff will check with you who your preferred doctor is when organising an appointment. However, there are times when your preferred doctor may be away or fully booked. At these times, the doctors encourage patients to see their practice colleagues.

Dr Greg Thompson OAM

Dr Greg Thompson OAM / MB.BS (Qld), B.ED (Syd), B.AppSc (CSU), FRACGP

Dr Thompson was a physical education teacher before deciding to study medicine. He also qualified as a radiographer prior to studying medicine. Dr Thompson practised in Wangaratta before returning to Brisbane in 2006. Dr Thompson has an interest in musculo-skeletal medicine as well as mens’ health, mental health, dermatology and skin lesions, aged care, preventative medicine and child and family health. Dr Thompson was awarded an OAM in January 2019 for services to sport and medicine.
Dr Jane Hutson

Dr Jane Hutson / MB.BS (Qld), GCertTrav.M (Wits), FRACGP

Dr Hutson completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland and has also completed a Graduate Certificate in Travel Medicine. Dr Hutson joined the practice in 2016 from the Milton Clinic after caring for the community of Milton and surrounding suburbs for the previous 13 years. She has a special interest in travel medicine and Q fever immunisation, as well as family medicine.
Dr Lynette Brislin

Dr Lynette Brislin / MB.BCh (Wits), Dip. Obs (Auck), FRNZCGP, FRACGP

Dr Brislin studied medicine in her native South Africa at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, then spent 11 years in New Zealand, where she completed a Diploma of Obstetrics, before relocating to Brisbane and she joined the practice in 2007. Her special interests are womens’ health, child health and family medicine.
Dr Amanda Irwin

Dr Amanda Irwin / MB.BS (Qld), B.AppSc (HMS-ExMan)(Qld), M.ScSt (Qld), FRACGP

Dr Irwin studied exercise physiology before completing her medical degree at the University of Queensland and practiced on the Sunshine Coast before joining the practice. With a young family Dr Irwin has special interest in family and child health (paediatrics), womens' health, mental health and weight management.
Dr Annie Yang

Dr Annie Yang / B.Sc (Qld), MB.Bs (Qld), Dip.Ch.Health (Syd), FRACGP

Dr Yang completed her medical degree with honours at the University of Queensland and also completed a Diploma in Child Health. She completed her fellowship of the RACGP in 2018. She enjoys all aspects of general practice with special interest in child health, womens’ health and preventative medicine. She is trained in implanon insertion and removal.
Dr Kylie Norris

Dr Kylie Norris / MB.BS (NSW) FRACGP

Dr Norris completed her medical degree at the University of NSW. She joined the practice in 2018 after being a GP in Kenmore. She is involved in GP Forums in Brisbane North to enable the best possible GP care to patients and is a GP liaison doctor at Royal Brisbane and Womens' Hospital. She enjoys all aspects of medicine, especially family medicine, womens' health and aged care.
Dr Robin Bahrdt

Dr Robin Bahrdt / MB.BS (Qld), B.Sc

Dr Bahrdt is a GP Registrar and has recently completed her Fellowship of the RACGP. Dr Bahrdt completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland after previously studying medical science and working as a laboratory pathologist. She worked in hospitals in Bundaberg, Hervey Bay and at the Mater with special interest in obstetrics and gynaecology, including mirena and implanon insertion, paediatric health and emergency medicine.
Dr Joshua Hatch

Dr Joshua Hatch / MB.BS (Griff) B.AppSc (QUT)

Dr Joshua Hatch joined Bardon Rainworth Medical Centre in January 2020 as a GP Registrar. Dr Hatch completed his medical degree at Griffith University after completing a Medical Radiation degree at QUT. He commenced orthopaedic training but decided general practice was more to his liking. He has special expertise in orthopaedic and musculoskeletal medicine with skills in joint injections and management. His other interests include men’s health and family medicine.

Bardon Rainworth Medical Centre is involved with General Practice Education Training as GP Supervisor to GP graduates and provides vocational training for medical graduates wishing to specialise in general practice.
